OUR CERTIFICATIONS
GOTS (GLOBAL ORGANIC TEXTILE STANDARD)
Since 2015, Taroni is GOTS certified, and can therefore produce GOTS certified fabrics.
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is recognised as the most important standard for sustainable production of garments and textile products made of natural fibres from organic farming such as organic cotton or organic wool.
According to GOTS it is possible to certify:
- textile products (containing at least 70% natural fibres from organic farming)
- manufacturing activities (dying, printing, …)
- chemical products for textile industry.
The GOTS certification is issued by ICEA (Istituto per la Certificazione Etica ed Ambientale – Institute for Ethical and Environmental Certification), a non-profit consortium that inspects and certifies several thousand companies that carry out their activities in respect of individuals and the environment, protecting the dignity of workers and consumer rights.

OCS (ORGANIC CONTENT STANDARD)
In 2019, Taroni also obtained the OCS certification.
Organic Content Standard (OCS) is promoted at international level by Textile Exchange and it provides for the issue of an environmental statement verified by a third party that:
- validates the content of natural fibres from organic farming in textile products (both intermediate and finished products);
- guarantees traceability along the entire production chain of raw materials, intermediate products and finished products.

TF – TRACEABILITY & FASHION
Since 2014, Taroni is Traceability & Fashion certified.
TF – Traceability & Fashion is a voluntary system managed by Unionfiliere and promoted by Unioncamere and Italy’s Chambers of Commerce. Its objective is to certify and increase the value of the products of the “made in Italy” supply chains.
Its aim is to create a voluntary certification scheme providing transparent information to consumers on the locations of the main production stages of the production chain and on the health values supporting the product, how environmentally friendly the product is and the manufacturer’s social responsibility.

Taroni, since 2018, is a Seri.co certified company, a trademark of the Centro Tessile Serico, by Bureau Veritas.
Seri.co is a certification system that assures the quality and the health and safety requirements of the textile product and the production system from which the product is born.
In order to safeguard the silk Italian products and their quality and creativity traditions, recognized round the world, the Seri.co Certification is issued exclusively to companies with registered and productive office in Italy.
Quality of Seri.co product: Seri.co guarantees that the product’s quality is in accordance with strict specifications that ensure a correct performance to stress during the use and to care treatments.
Product’s Health and Safety: Seri.co guarantees that the fabrics do not contain or release harmful substances to health of consumer, and therefore they meet the demands of the market that requires safe textiles that give confidence to the consumer.
Company’s quality: The current market requires products manufactured in compliance with precise ethical, social and environmental codes that become a recognized guarantee. Seri.co integrates some of the most important requirements of the quality system management (ISO 9001), of environment management (ISO 14001), of safety management (OHSAS 18001) and social responsibility (SA 8000 Standard), with the aim to obtain a textile product qualitatively characterized and with controlled properties.
